Cities Strong Foundation works with myHometown to coordinate with cities, non-profits, and business partners to support Days of Service, park improvement projects, tree planting, along with household specific projects. It’s all about neighbors helping neighbors build beautiful, safe, and welcoming communities for all.
When homes and public places are improved, it transforms both the places and the people in the neighborhood into something to be proud of.
Thousands of volunteers come together every week (April-October) to tackle yard work, repairs, home improvements, and beautification projects in coordination with myHometown, TreeUtah, and local partners. These service projects feel like community celebrations, each rooted in deep pride and the desire to connect neighbors and create sustained community.
We work with municipal governments, local businesses, and other Utah non-profits to create collaborations that make the most of the resources available for service projects.
Individuals, families, faith groups, and even corporations looking for service opportunities in Utah work with us to create events that give people a way to show up for their neighbors and create thriving communities.
It’s more than tidy flower beds and raked leaves. Neighborhood projects that improve the structures and landscaping help transform spaces into places where children and families can safely play, commute, and become more connected to the people around them.
When neighbors help neighbors, a deeper sense of community is created, and it’s in healthy communities that people and families can create stronger futures.
Cities Strong Foundation works hand in hand with myHometown to coordinate and amplify their efforts to mobilize Utah’s service-minded volunteers for Days of Service events across the Wasatch Front.
Our goal is to create ongoing, sustained service in Utah neighborhoods to create generational impact. We work to build strong financial foundations so we can commit to supporting these communities in the long term.
